How do you know your thinking is yours??
    #17754300 -

How do you know your thinking is yours? And is this question a good one? Is there authentic thinking. I am seriously trying to explore this and am not coming from a higher place than you who knows the answers though of course I have ideas.

Say that the way you think has been manipulated. HOW would you know it was, because the very way you think has been implanted into you by devious covert means. So how could you see this and then unravel the ways it's been done and see through it happening again, or now?

Take a look at this video and let me know what you T H I N K?

I haven't watched the vid yet but I can tell you that if you have sufficient practice at watching what you recognize as your consistent thought, what you call I or me, then you can easily recognize what is implanted.  I have allot of experience with this.

Having seen the vid I can't help but notice that everything that makes up a reality has this kind of angle.  I sort of went through this disillusionment break down period where everything got so overwhelming.  It seemed like I died and entered the CONSPIRACY.

I don't know it is mine. I don't know anything for certain. This body thinks. How that came about is up for debate but no conclusions.

I didn't watch the video but i've brought this up a few times here, almost every thought you have you learned from somewhere else, or even if you have a new one spring up, unlearnt, its a common phenomena that someone else on the planet will have had the same thought. Like theres a few inventions that were discovered at different parts of the world around the same time. So there is no original thought.

Well then one must ask what about the very first humans who thought and then created the culture that programs the rest.  Were their thoughts original??

Well if you think about it, looking at the universe there's probably more than one planet with humans on it so even before 'the first humans who thought' on earth there probably would've been humans who thought the same things on another planet

I don't think only humans think either, i reckon animals think too

Its a bit like a computer program i feel, like we're programmed to evolve & start having certain thoughts that develop language etc... so it can appear original when the thoughts first arise, but it could just be built within the programming of evolution

watch it its not long

Yes, so your saying that what we think cannot really BE original anyhow because we are interrelated in this human matrix where thinking doesn't really belong to anyONE individual really?

So how then can we not be manipulated then. This is why its important you watch the video or you wont get the context of the question.

There's nothing devious or covert about indoctrination, it's a natural human process. We have evolved to adapt to our environments after being born and part of that is finding a niche in the social landscape.

It's a scary question, though. A while ago I realized that nearly all of what I say is "something I heard". Well, what should I be saying? Nothing? That's the nature of the beast. Man is a conservative animal.

I think this is why psychedelics are important, and ignoring the media is important.

I haven't watched the vid yet, I will tonight. That said, perhaps my intended meaning would be clearer if I had said "there's nothing inherently devious or covert about indoctrination".

Without indoctrination you have no education, no language, no culture. Without his ability to be indoctrinated, a man would be a clumsy deformed chimp.

I don't think anyone has original thoughts, but certainly their own. We're constantly recombining information which no one really has credit to, musicians learn from their teachers and so forth - all the material being variations and adaptations of forms back to whenever. The touch of the artists hand though, their style and approach gives them a language of their own.

However you choose to word that, I think that we do often posses originality in our actions.

When it comes to innovations I look at it as an athletic endeavor, recombining information to a certain end.

i dont think the question is a good one. our language and thought is always inherited :shrug2:

something foucault said has been floating round my head lately so im gonna share it: a moral action only happens when one is in a state of freedom. which in other words means if you are given an order, unless you can fathom acting to the contrary you are not acting morally (regardless of what the action is)... or morality is only something that happens when you do not perceive yourself as OBLIGATED to it.

so a better question re brainwashing and stuff, might be what do you feel obligated to do in your life? because that might just be the unexamined stuff passed down from your parents that is limiting you in one way or another.

I FEEL disgusted at that man in the video; at the same time I FEEL that I don't care.

I THINK I don't know how much of that videos info is true.  I THINK one day people won't try so hard to manipulate each other for something like money.

I FEEL you questions don't matter.  I THINK they are intriguing and are like brain candy.  My thoughts have been shaped by my parents, people in my lives, Terrance McKenna, David Wilcock, and others.  They are also shaped by my experiences with substances.

Can someone have an original thought? I don't KNOW. I would wonder about Einstein.  He came up with the theories of relativity and gen relativity.  Where these actually original thoughts or just bio-computer computations that built upon each other?  They say Einstein was riding a bus and saw a worker on scaffolding or whatnot.  All these happenstances including his knowledge gave him the idea of his theories. So did he actually have an original thought or simply read the uninverse correctly like a hidden language that happened to unravel in front of him?  Same could be wondered about Newton and the others.

The idea of this tread goes deeper than what that video mentions.

Back in the day I signed some contract with a shady lookin' fella in a dimly lit bar somewhere in the wrong end of the city.  I was really drunk at the time so I don't rightly recall what all I agreed to, but at any rate I got a couple ounces of dank bud, a mean blowjob from the fella's sister, and now the Reptilians do all my thinking for me.  Quite relieving, really--takes all the pressure and stress away compared to when I used to have to make decisions and worry about whether or not I'd done the right thing.  Now I can just relax, kick back and enjoy the ride.

Free will is such an unnecessary burden, and just think what you can get for trading it in: a life free from dreaded responsibility, complete absolution from moral blame AND a helluva blowjob.  Now that's an offer you can't refuse.  :satansmoking:
