Pharmaceuticals

Practically every thread i read in here about suicidal tendencies or serious depression the person is taking some kind of pharmaceutical, usually because they've been told they have a mental disease by someone who can make money off of it

Anyone else noticing a pattern?

depressed people seeking help for their condition? yeah, i've noticed a pattern. i'm sure we can argue all day about the efficacy of antidepressants, but people who aren't already depressed to some degree don't usually wind up on them.
what exactly are you suggesting, that doctors are giving people drugs to make them depressed?
i hate antidepressants, but i was on them for a reason. i'm depressed, and i sought help. all the ssris i took sucked, so i stopped taking them.

I guess i just rarely see anyone that they actually help & only hear about the problems they cause, there's sooo many posts by people still seeking help because seeking help through pharma's didn't work, but a lot still seem to take them or take new ones, i've read quite a few suicidal people here listing off the pills they're currently on

I suppose in that situation you'll take help from somewhere/anywhere you feel you can get it, and taking a pill seems like an easy fix so why not, pharma just generally seems like its all ran like a big business rather than true healthcare, many doctors may start out with a genuine wish to help but they inadvertantly become drug dealers for corporations, a new mental disease is invented every day & some people are even proud of their list of mental diseases

I guess im just genuinely suprised by how many posters here are on pharma's & noticing a pattern here at the shroomery its almost like taking mushrooms can trigger an existential crisis & i think its a crying shame i that so many of these existential crisis' lead to taking pharmaceutical drugs rather than awakening

The label side effects include violent tendencies and suicidal thoughts...

Oh and all those school shooters were taking them too.

Im a serious believer of just using recreational and mind expanding drugs for depression. If I had depression I would just drink more, smoke more, "speed" more, and just have a different drug every day for whatever type of day I want. Im betting If you kept it in control and cycled all your drugs so you didn't have that much of a tolerance it would be a great treatment for depression. Or go live out in nature.

As a class, SSRI's contain a black box warning regarding adolescent suicide.

Which products contain warnings about violence?
