Pris. Thank you for making the next point I was going to make. That in the UK, the rate of assaults and attempted murders are very similar to the US. Yet, their murder rate is 1/4 of ours. The difference? That guns are far more deadly than other weapons and methods people use to kill other people.

Nobody think nor intends that banning guns will eliminate gun crime. Stop pretending that is the intent. The point is to reduce gun crime as much as possible. The fact

England and Wales had 41 homicides by gun(not sure if this is an average over a number of years, or it is 2011 data. The US had 9146 homicides by gun with 270 million guns.

So, the number of gun homicides per million guns:
41/3.4 = 12.05 England
9146/270 =  33.87 US.

So, you are wrong. In reality our gun homicide rate per gun is three times higher than theirs.

Reducing the number of guns has a multiplying effect. You end up reducing gun homicides at a higher proportion to the sheer number of guns themselves.

Regardless, if the government takes away our guns, do you really think the "bad guys" are going to willingly give up their unregistered guns??? Hell no, they will not. and then only them and the police/military will have guns, and the way I see it, we will all be fucked then.

something that didnt happen for england, south africa, columbia, brazil,

you need to check that math again, maybe start with the right numbers since
there's 4 countries in the UK, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
when England passed the firearms ban all 4 countries were affected. now why
would you want to underplay what's happening in a smaller part of the whole
and still not provide any sources and it's over 200 firearms related murders
in just england and scotland in 2011, 500% higher than your claim of only 41

Brittan alone has 58 gun related homicides per year
Scotland had 154 firearms related homicides

let's say we take you at the false claim of 41 murders by firearm in england,
all the other numbers show that people who are determined to kill will in
fact kill. 9000 firearms offenses, 33,000 knife offenses. 9000 firearms
offenses in a country with very strict prohibition on guns... BTW, knives
were also banned. it seems that a knife ban didnt stop the knife crimes
