Re: The Marijuana Paradox [Re: Celestial Traveler]

I'm not sure what gives you the body high but I don't think it's CBD. If it is, then it has to synergize with THC to produce that feeling. CBD by itself absolutely causes no noticeable alteration of your mental or physical state.

Another way to try CBD weed, if you have a vaporizer with digital heat control, is to smoke the stuff after you've vaped it at the temperature high enough to vape THC but not CBD.

It seriously doesn't do a thing. Apparently it's a good antipsychotic, I wouldn't know, I'd have to have some on hand for my next speed binge. :curbyourenthusiasm:

  Well as for your vaporizer method (vapeing away the THC to leave isolated CBD), that seems to be like there could be room for error for amateur chemists such as yourself.  For example, in vapeing away the THC, how could you be sure that you did not vape away the CBD also?  No insult meant, but I think it would be a lot more reliable experiment to maybe buy some pure CBD liquid from a dispensary or something and see what's up.

As far as I've known for quite some time, it's a generally accepted notion that THC gets you "high" and CBD gets you "stoned."  I'm not really trying to debate about it that much, but this has been the general consensus among everyone I know and every weed documentary I've ever watched on Netflix. :smilingpuppy:  .  So I have a lot of trust in the accuracy of this claim.  Whether or not the CBD must be paired with THC in order to have this effect, I don't know...but I have never heard that.  And I have watched A LOT of weed documentaries, they are all over my Youtube recommended videos lol.

Btw on a highly related note, there was this really interesting Youtube clip I saw awhile back...I'm going to spend a couple minutes looking for it but I won't waste too much time because I probably won't find it.

But I remember it was about this British semi-journalist-type lady that went around Europe gathering information about marijuana, visiting dispensaries in Netherlands, etc.

She volunteered for a science experiment at some laboratory where she was injected with two different solutions - one solution was pure THC, and the other was THC mixed with CBD, to see how she reacted.

On the pure THC solution she freaked out, had a bad trip, felt like she had just died, etc.  But on the THC + CBD mixture, she was laughing her ass off and making a fool out of herself in front of academic professionals.

I based my reports of CBD from trying strains of weed that don't have THC, only CBD. Not from the admittedly dubious vape method I proposed. There would obviously be no way to be sure you were smoking CBD instead of nothing because CBD by itself does nothing, as you will no doubt observe if you smoke weed bred to produce CBD but not THC.

There is only one way to settle this. You (with your hook ups) need to buy a sativa based strain, smoke a bowl....then....once toasty....start puffing the CBD only strain.

See if it alters the high in any way whatsoever.

Its called science people :smirk:

I was actually high from some dank-ass weed chocolate at the time, but I couldn't help but notice that no matter how much I smoked of that stuff, it simply would not get me any higher. My friend who bought it smoked a bunch of it for a while and he agrees, it does not by itself affect your mental or physical state in any noticeable manner, except possibly for getting you less high when you smoke it high.

It's medicinal. Strictly medicinal. :sadyes:

But heres the thing....if you were very high, and you were smoking PURE CBD. In theory (or actually, given the science it should be FACT), you should have been getting more "Stoned" not less high, or no effects at all.

This gets into questions of pharmacodynamics I haven't yet taken fancy enough classes to address.

For example, if you're already high on the THC, it may be too late for its effects to be altered in the same way as if you were to ingest THC and CBD simultaneously.

it's called CBD antagonizes (OR WAHTEVER) the receptors that THC antagonizes, so having CBD in place of THC in those receptors causes the THC to be less pronounced, hence the feeling of "co-stimulation" from both these compounds, and not feeling anything when it's only CBD you're inhaling.

I want to get some of this CBD-only Marijuana.
I love smoking weed any time, night or day, but restrain simply because I don't want to be high ALL the time.
This stuff sound like it would really hit the spot.
Could even use it to fill out bigger joints/blunts.

OR! maybe we need to let go, and let god. Throw away that knowledge bullshit and pick up a bible my friend :datass:

think about it. Ive presented quite the paradox here :smirk:

and science has helped us figure it out none the further....I think its safe to say its obvious whats going on here. And thats proof of God almighty :strokebeard:

What im saying is it may exacerbate schitzophrenia, but in others its been shown to reduce symptoms or even help them with mental illness and psychosis alike!

Why is this? Some hogwash about CBD content :smirk: I think not!

Here is the paradox that shows, with a bit of magic, that god exists. And proves once and for all that science doesnt have all the answers :smug:
