Shouldn't you just be smoking dope and not worrying about what the people with brains are doing?

Shouldn't you be on the Fox news forms, and not on a magic mushroom website?

There is no evidence that mushrooms make you stupid.  Pot, on the other hand....................

zappa - when was the last time you gave enough of a fuck to find out how much college costs right now?  Saying that people who don't go to college because they can't afford tens of thousands of dollars per year in tuition are somehow lesser than those whose parents can afford that is not just classist, it's sickening.

Only willful blindness to the plight of people who aren't born with major opportunities can allow you to maintain a social philosophy that is as Randian as yours.

Are the Romney/Ryan team burning the rest of Sheldon Adelson's cash by hacking shroomery accounts to post these sorts of arguments?  America is NOT a meritocracy anymore, and it actually never was.  Some people are born with advantages, some are born without, and scientific and stastitical analysis has shown over and over that these advantages are passed down through families and have absolutely nothing to do with any measure of intelligence or "ambition".

I'd bet a lot of money that if we did a study, we'd find that the average guy who sells falafals on a street corner in NYC spends more hours and effort working than the guys on the 30th floor at Goldman Sachs (who buy the schwarma and falafals), despite making 1/30th the income.  The banker gets to go home early and snort coke off a hooker's ass, while the street vendor is busy busting his OWN ass to make enough money to scrape  by - and if he's lucky, send his kid to college on an enormously generous football scholarship.  In that case, he'd be the LUCKY one.

This is so twisted.  I guess I expected a more nuanced and enlightened worldview from people who visit a site like this, but hell, it's the internet, and entitled assholes will be entitled assholes.

If you were born in the Congo with no access to clean running water, do you honestly think you'd be sitting at a computer typing on a mushroom website today?  I'm truly curious?!?

Whos argueing that? Zappa said rich people built the country. That much is true. People who busted their ass, got rich, then banks RAKE in cash. Without the rich, thered be no banks. College is expensive? It fucking should be. Strange theres a few classes I could go take right now that would cost me less then $600 each class. Thats pretty damn cheap. Also whats the point of education if everybody is fucking illiterate.

For MONTHS before Obamas election I bitched about the federal deficit spending and Obama raising up the federal debt to 16 trillion, and all the winey liberals cried "its George Bushs fault, the George Bush tax cuts havent expired". If people could fucking read theyd know better. Why should people go to school if they are fucking illiterate? Have you noticed something the last week? This fiscal cliff and small business promotion shit is all over t.v. It seems after Obama won smart people decided with the national crisis looming its wise to assume the government is going to slash the budget by trillions or raise taxes on every class by major percentages.

Did I vote for the fuck? No. Do I have the IQ of Stephen Hawkings? No. Can I fucking read? Absolutely. I predicted this shit like Nostradamus, now its blowing up in my face

"its wise to assume the government is going to slash the budget by trillions or raise taxes.."

I don't think you will see any cut in spending, maybe slight cuts in the growth rate of spending. Attempts to raise tax revenue will also fail in my opinion, bottom line fiscal irresponsibility continues.

Then the value of our dollar will go to shit. Your a smart guy what does that mean?

To zappa: cds reminds me of that south park episode where a guy borrows money from a guy who borrows money from a guy who borrows money from wall street securities which has most of its shares bought by the government , so the bum defaults the whole ladder not just the first lender. Its legal gambling, and shouldnt be treated any differently then going to a casino. When you go to poor countries and see shit shacks and shit houses believe it or not the people living in them own them out right.

I could careless if financial institutions trade CDS's, that's their business, the problem is commercial banks that have FDIC on their deposits are doing this gambling.

Guess who has a right to the deposits if they bank goes belly up on it's leveraged derivatives?  That's right, if JPM can't make the insurance payment their creditor gets the deposits, then the taxpayer must make good on the FDIC.

Why are taxpayers taking the risk for the "too big to fail banks"?  Thanks Bill Clinton.

Not much to me, I'm not big in cash.  If the dollar goes to shit my assets will be worth more dollars.  And we will have more employment due to a more competitive international exchange.

It is a common misconception that Frank Zappa was a cool guy.  He was actually alot like zappaisgod.  Uptight and self-righteous, kind of a horrid asshole.  Personally I don't like to listen to his music that much.

I watched both of them and I didn't see any self righteousness.  Just truth.  I don't agree with everything Frank says and I am certainly nowhere near as devoted to work as he was but he is spot on about drugs.  He was enormously successful and I've done really well myself.  How you doin'?

Total failure, it is what it is.

I got nothing against you or him really, and I can see the truth in what you both say, but I think my fantasies are a hell of alot more appealing.  I just wish your lot would give some recognition to the other side of things.

But I do recognize it. I saw what it was when I was in college.  When I became a man I put aside childish things.  I am 56 years old and have seen the misery it causes.  What do you think your life will be like in ten, twenty years if you keep doing what you're doing?

There are lots of people on this drug website who are responsible, support themselves and even have kids.  Lots of them.

I don't want kids.  Its not that I don't like to work, I do, but I can't work within the system that is offered to me.  I've tried.  People want to call me lazy but that is only half true.  Mostly my problem is that the world I live in sucks and I don't want to take part.

I think hes saying he can feed himself, but doesnt like the standards forced on him on the way he is supposed to supply his food. I can feel for that in many ways. Innovation is the hardest job. Innovators are treated as greedy just as much as people who are fired from shitty jobs are treated like bums

I spent two years working with Medicins sans Frontiers (doctors without borders) in Africa, and I went to bed every night (covered in DEET and constantly checking my mosquito net for holes) CERTAIN and THANKFUL for how lucky I am to have been born to family in the US that could afford to send me to school so that I could do the things I do.  I've seen too many kids die from diseases that don't exist or have been eradicated in the states, and there's no doubt in my mind whatsoever that if I had been born in the Congo or in Sudan, if I was even alive, I would not be a doctor today.  If I was lucky I'd be the Falafal guy.

Slowly twisting guinea worms out of childrens' legs, having to ration your malaria medication among the kids because you don't have enough, it really gives you some perspective.

What tax dollars have you paid?  You work for peanuts pulling guinea worms in Africa.  I've already paid millions of dollars in taxes over the years.  If you want to pay more in taxes knock yourself out but I don't have a trust fund.  It's pretty easy to be charitable with other people's money and I wish you would stop trying to take yet more of mine.
