taste of oyster

can someone describe the taste of oyster mushrooms?
im starting out with edibles as a first grow.
do oyster's have any retail value?

They have a mild taste, a choice edible.
They arent very mushroomy tasting, you can batter them and fry em like fish. You can tell the difference.

According to CropKing, oyster mushrooms wholesale at prices of $2.50 a pound to as high as $6 and $7 a pound. The Ohio market is currently about $5.00 a pound. One of their standard production units will produce over 30,000 pounds of mushrooms per year.
