I went on an  expedition into the darkest reaches of youtube yesterday, in search of totally groovy 60's soundtracks. This is what I brought back.





Load weed into brain + load related videos -> hours of brilliance.

I still haven't heard the Tone Float album so I don't know how this compares to that material.  Man do I love this period of their work.:inlove:

Shitty Recording Studio recording Tommy McCook and I think The SuperSonics - his band he wrote music for and led after coming out of the Skatalites.  The sounds of American Funk have their roots in a lot of early island recordings.
A lot of the fans of early ska and island music were Musicians out of Britain and the States.  And being on such a short record it's funny to see how much soul you can squeeze out of Three Minutes 20!

Yeah that's awesome man, I love brass instruments in klezmer. Amsterdam Klezmer band has a similar sound to that, at least the more traditional of their recordings. Their self-titled first album is a lot like that but later they started incorporating synths and it sucked.
