We recorded this song at my house and the other guitar player made the video from old video footage. Let me know what you guys think! Constructive criticism is welcome on the video, the mixing, the song, or whatever comments you may have.

The video doesn't seem to belong to that song. It doesn't fit the style for some reason. But it very artistic.
Great music, but here are my opinions on it.
- The drums are trying to hard. Too much snare for the guitar. Either take some snare out or have the guitarist play something more upbeat, it gets monotonous.
- The singer. Great voice. Could be a little more melodic though. He stretches every word. I barely understands the lyrics. It depresses me, seems like he's gonna commit suicide after that song
Great potential though. It sounds like Tool but it needs some work
I'm listening as I write this and the drums man... Too much snare...

I'm the perfect candidate actually.
- I do not play an instrument - I'm a normal guy that has listened to many songs - I'm have zero musical background - I have ears. - I have never met OP
I'm the most unbiased person to judge this. I just said what I thought, unfiltered and with no regards to whether or not it would insult OP or take it constructively.
He can take it or leave it. People like me are 95% of the his potential audience.

I would rather take business advice from a rich dude who knows what he is talking about over someone who is living paycheck to paycheck
And I would take a fellow musicians or a DJs advice over someone who doesn't even know how to play a riff
Just my 2c on judges and critic's

Thank you!! This is what I was wanting. Specific critique. I will take this into consideration. Im teaching myself how to mix and master so I know I still have a long way to go. It's fun though.

I don't know why, but to me the singer sounds like a cross between Dave Mustaine and Thom Yorke. Pretty cool song, and great video!

I totally thought "Aerials" in the intro there.
Not bad at all. I think I get what mr drum dude is saying up there though, at about 2:20 when he comes in with the fast snare/tom roll stuff it could be more chill and then build up into that, which would give your chorus more punch when it gets to it. It's like the build up is too long and then when it gets to the part where it needs to peak it falls a bit flat. One major thing I learned over the years of jamming is that you have to pay attention to the spaces between notes just as much as the notes themselves. But yeah that's just my opinion.
All that being said, great track! Hope you guys keep on keepin' on!

It reminded me of Boards of Canada for some reason

Try isolating every part of the song. Like singer with guitar only, then singer with drums only, then bass alone, then singer alone. Just to see if everything fits well together when some intruments are absent
