Snakes not On a Plane

OK what is the relationship between snakes and tripping? I have a friend who saw visions of snakes snakes while tripping on LSD and I would like to mention his experience.

He saw the aura of other humans and saw the energy of those auras as being like snakes. He also felt a snake from his aura coil around the snake from another persons aura in the shape of a double helix and then the snakes from the two respective auras returned to their auras of origin.

Are snakes symbolic of prana(human life energy? If so why? I know veins snake through the body and rivers move like snakes. COuld there be something more to this?

Haha. I was just recently trying to show the relation to the Rod of Caduceus and how it can align perfectly with making a double helix along the 7 main chakras.

In my opinion in means a synchronized balance of the chakras and the ability to receive from above, as below.

Snakes and the double helix. Francis Crick got his inspiration for DNA being in a double helix when he was on a LSD trip.

The raising of the Kundalini is supposedly like that of a serpent forcing its way up through one's spine.

ahhh the snakes, i witness them in every trip ive had to date. and not only that, they are usually the most prevalent visual phenomenon. writhing in the grass, tangled up, and all over the walls. To me they resemble wisdom, chaos, and the order that comes.
shrooms, the snakes remain ethreal while LSD produced the most lifelike snakes ive seen yet, which is quite interesting as on lsd i have also seen "auras" of people and i seem to ramble on and on like a hunter s. tompson book. pointing to the "snakes as words" theory i read of yours in another post.
whatever the snakes are as i trip, the actual animal still remains mundane to me, ive never been excited about snakes and i dont think i really ever will
but im very interested to know what they mean as a phenomenon as i can find very few reports of the snakes.

When the doctor was evaluating my mental health, he asked if i was experiencing any hallucinations such as snakes.
I think we are more likely to hallucinate snakes than anything else.
A squiggly line man... JUST A SQUIGGLY LIINE !

But seriously, i don't think i'll ever believe someone that says they hallucinated on LSD.
I've taken that drug way too far in search of hallucination and never got past anything more than a really distorted version of what was REALLY there in front of me.

A funny story.. we were walking across a golf course and it was raining. A flash of lightning got my friend screaming as it lit up the grass. " omg man, im tripping so hard i just saw a bunch of worms slithering all over the grass !!"

It didn't really help much informing him that he wasnt "tripping out" and that the worms were actually all over the place.

I get reptilian symbolism/ visuals alot on DMT among other things. On high dose MXE I was at the point in the trip where youre hungry and tired and youre body gives in completely to the drug. I was at a point of complete mental stillness and was OBEing in and out of my body like a wave pool. I felt like I was riding on a huge coiled snake back and forth.
