We had our house broken into last month too...

You gotta be steadfast about protecting your belongings man. I live in a semi ghetto town and have learned the hard way that if you give thieves the opportunity, they'll take your shit. Even locking a door can give you some security.

It's true man, as pointless as most car locks are, they'll deter most robbers simply because you aren't the least common denominator. A car/residence that is unlocked will be the easiest reward.
