what kind of money are you talking about?

the only car under 20 i would buy would be a subaru outback. realiable like a honda or toyota, more space and clearance than a ford explorer plus AWD and good mileage.

I know its a chick car but its awsome

I once saw an '89 Subaru GL sedan with a horizontally opposed
4-banger (unusual engine)

I'd drive that just for the novelty. 4WD is nice too, but i think that
came along later in the Subaru story.

I'd probably buy a newer import that gets good mileage.

if you want mileage, get something light. hence the AE92 Corolla or
maybe a Honda CRX.

When you get it, clean out the carburetor or injectors (with injectors,
you have to connect a canister of solvent to the fuel rail and run the
motor on the solvent for a few minutes) and replace the fuel filter,
distributor cap and rotor, spark plug wires and the plugs themselves.

If you have a timing gun, adjust the ignition timing too. If you don't
have a timing gun, rent one.

The veyron sucks, way too heavy. and almost certainly never to be raced. It's a shame what volkswagen has done to that legendary marque. Bentley as well. And actually the koenigsegg has surpassed the mclaren as the fastest production car but only by 1.3 mph. This with a supercharger. That's what makes the mclaren so damn good, all motor and light as hell, no car has yet to match it in power to weight. Oh and BMW (who made the mclaren engine) produced an F1 engine back in the late 70's with 1000 horsepower...from a production based four banger and one turbo. God the Veyron sucks. I would only get one purely as an investment then sell it for triple the price to puff daddy.

If I was Bill Gates:

A Bugatti Atlantique and all existing Royals
All four iterations of the Mclaren F1 (still the best)
Original Ferrari GTO
Porsche 917 racer
Ferrari F40
Rolls Royce sedanca like the one goldfinger had in the movie
Various custom made one off cars like what the Sultan of Brunei has, or ask Gordon Murray to design the fastest sedan the world will ever know.
The original le mans winning blower Bentley
Any Hispano suiza, talbot lagos, horch. just so I can win pebble beach three years in a row.
Pagani Zonda s
street version of michele mouton's Audi quattro
Mercedes C111 concept car
Ferrari Mythos concept car
BMW 3.0 CSL
Morgan Aero 8 with an M5 engine

I could obviously go on and on. Big car fan as you can see.

no bling?

Honda, toyota. Stay away from anything American.

The Ariel Atom could have a better power to weight than the mclaren with a good light engine slapped in there i dont know about top speed but i think the atom would take it in a short and twisty track. The british make great chasis just leave the engine to someone else

let's stick to actual production cars sold world wide. Sure how bout a caterham super 7? or a cunningham? The technology and money is no object attitude that went into the mclaren has yet to be properly emulated. I mean, even the Alpine cd player was special. made out of magnesium.

It is a production car just a small company they will ship them anywhere. you can title them as a kit car so they are street legal too. Im not comparing it to the Mclaren just saying its the lightest supercar or it has supercar performance atleast.

hehe, well i've got no plans to start driving again anytime soon. crashed and totalled my old car ( a '92 galant, fucking style!) last november. but, if i was to buy a car, knowing what i could afford and so forth, i'd probably get a vw corrado, like this

(hehe but probably not so "pimped out")
