I don't think it's Hemlocks with the vitamin c.  Maybe they have it too, but I remember prof's in college talking about Northern White Cedar (aka Arborvitae, aka Thuja occidentalis) as a cure for scurvy

Wait. I take that back. I call BS. If you are a health food nut then
you eat stuff with vitamin C. It is very abundant in many foods.

Dude. Broccoli has Vitamin C. Bell peppers. Brussel sprouts. Citris
fruits of course.

Ive just been neglecting fruit.
My staples consist of: indian curried bean dishes(home made and buffet), pizza(healthy artisan type ones), pasta, burritos(fresh ones, not taco bell), fish, sushi, thai coconut curry dishes, chinese style stir fries(home made), potatoes(samosa, dosa, fries), falafel sandwhiches, bread, rice
but Ive just been neglecting the fresh fruits and vegetables lately opting instead to cook flavorful savory type stuff...and had been forgetting the vitamins...and after a month or two of that it took it's toll.

ok, ok, just keep it in your mind, vit C increases your body to absorb Iron.  Too much Iron in your body is not necessarily a GOOD thing.  Google "Hemocromatosis".  This is a heredity disorder but will give you some info on IRON Overload.  Just a bit of FYI.

ya know I do eat tomatos regularly...but probably once a day...and probably just not enough vegetables/fruits in general.

The ones I do eat much of are more legumes, beans and whatnot.

I can only stop eating junk food by not smoking pot. I can't believe how unhealthy I eat when I smoke all day long, like a bag of chips that is 30% weight in pure fat and I eat a few bags of that chips, a double cheeseburger, kebabs, more chips :awedisgust: Not to mention the endless amounts of sugar I consume (3 days worth of sugar in 1 hour) :facepalm:

Is there vitamin C in doughnut jelly?

I'm pretty sure your body has awesome buffering systems as even slight deviations from the normal pH result in death.

I recall something about the acidic/alkaline stuff being bad and good for you respectively but it was debunked as no scientific data supports that.
