Just brush and floss daily.  FLOSS.  I find that most people don't like to floss, but it's just as important, if not more important than brushing.  If you floss and brush twice a day, even once a day, you're better off than brushing after every meal.  Flossing removes some serious plaque buildup between teeth, including food particles which decay and attribute to the worst kind of cavities, the ones between your teeth, rather than just on them.  Once you get cavities, you are at the mercy of dentists, or bleeding from your mouth all the time like my dumbass ex-roommate Jed.  Dude spits blood out, he can afford to buy an ounce of weed, can afford to buy whiskey all the time, but can't seem to afford to have his tooth removed for 150$.

When that dumbfuck started hitting me up for pain meds after I had reconstructive surgery on my knee, I pretty much had to hide my shit and tell him to fuck off.
