Ephesians 6:5 - Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.

what if it turned out that the bible was only like 500 years old and all the manuscripts were forged by gold diggers/political authorities

and the whole "drinking Jesus' blood" thing sounds kinda vampire-y, like that chick elizabeth bathory

i'm just trying to find the truth about Jesus but for some reason the only people that provided us with bibles were also book burners. it makes me confused. maybe the bible is God's truth but i can't seem to find a reason why the scotish/english nobility would want everyone to own one

it's just strange to me that everyone involved in the spread of classical christianity look so... odd.

John Calvin:

Martin Luther:

etc. etc.

it seems to me like the spread of christianity post-councial of nicea was dominated by politics and crusade-like pompousness

earliest english version of the bible comes from john wycliffe.

john wycliffe:

anyone else think that it's strange that all of the big names in the spread of christianity were so "high and mighty" in appearance. seem political. i don't doubt Christ, i doubt what we've been told about Him, since the "founding fathers' of christianity seem to have been way more motivated in cover-ups and political sensationalism than concern for our souls

and so here we are with so many claiming mayan prophecy as the end of the world, and all we have to combat the antichrist are church fathers and scotish/english nobility telling us that if we don't believe in the words of the books of council of nicea that we have an eternity of hellfire awaiting us. everything that's happening today corresponds not only to the book of revelation but to mayan and hindu philosophy. oh, but they didn't have fat crowns on their heads, so we don't have a copy of the baghivad gita in every jail cell and hotel room like we can thank the gideons for having bibles instead

don't get my wrong, Christ is a righteous dude, and if he is the only path to heaven you'd better believe i'd follow him till my death. i just have a hard time believing it since the church fathers were clothed in exotic robes while the mayans and hindu believers were clothed in sackcloth and government oppression

Ever heard of Mithraism?

http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/386080/Mithraism

The drinking of the blood and the eating of the body was a practice in the cults of Mithras throughout Rome.
After emperor Constantine accepted Christianity and his son made if the official religion of Rome, the council of Nicea absorbed the practice into their take on the religion as so to assimilate them into the new society. Infact, more rituals and holidays are from these cults and other cultures which Rome conquered and assimilated than from the original religion from Judea....
