It depends on what materials/equipment you have at your disposal.

I place my syringes in a sterilization pouch and PC for 45 minutes.

Good point...

I figured when he said a syringe...he meant the syringe.

He may have meant the needle. If he meant the syringe and you still offer the same advice, I would have to say the advice is not good.

If he meant the needle, I would say the advice is good.

Lately I sterilize my needle tips by first flaming them and then dipping in isopropyl alcohol. It doesn't sound safe to me, but hasn't burnt me yet...plus I like to live on the edge!

I store my used syringes w/ needles in a hyrogen peroxide solution.

When it is time to use them I empty out the peroxide, suck in boiling water, empty, repeat for about two minutes. The last time you do it keep the boiling water inside the syringe, put it in the fridge to cool, and then use it for your sterile water thats needed to make spore syringes.

To steralize the needle I flame it with a regular lighter and then wipe it down with a little peroxide. I allow the peroxide to air dry off of the needle. I do this step in my glove box.

This method works perfectly, or at least it does for me. I have not had a problem yet.
