black stuff on syringe needle..

Hi, first time cultivator here. I'm going with a myco bag to try for my first time. Anyways I sterilized my syringe with a lighter until it was red. This left a black soot on the syringe which I wiped off with an alcohol wet paper towel. Is this OK? Also, I only used about 2 to 2.5 ccs of my syringe, which I then capped up. I'm assuming with sterilization of the needle this syringe is OK for future use? OK. Should be easy..time to wait and stress out. Thanks.

you did the right thing, but if you don't want to deal with the "soot" get a nice alcohol flame ... That works nicely

Yeah you'll be fine.

Just do the same thing before when you use your syringe again.

I just use a shot glass upsidown, wiht a little pool of rubbing alcohol, and light that up and use that to flame sterlize. It doesn't leave as much black as from a butane lighter.
