sterlizing needles

would dipping needle down into alcohol be as effective as burning the needle with alcohol flame? im scared flame will heat spores or do somehting bad to them..im asking so many questions cause i have read all the teks and i want growers advice, not cause im lazy and dont wanna search...hopefully this way (its my first time)i wont mess up to bad at first and hopefully complete life cycle of the mushroom

If this is your first time you should be anal when it comes to sterility. Flaming your needle will not harm the spores. Wipe the needle with alcohol after flaming. Being over sterile never hurt beginners!
