Smoking Ones Shrooms........

Theres a lot fo debate as to whether smoking shrooms can actually produce an effect. I have smoked shrooms once, after a relatively bad harvest, and my friend and I became very aggressive, which probably had more to do with the bottle of ouzo we had drank. As we haven't tried smoking them since, we'd rather eat the buggers, I was wondering if anyone had experienced effects from smoking any variety of shrooms. Perhaps people who have had effects could explain their method, dose, species and any other relevant info. Hopefully this wont turn into a thread where we get replies all saying "smokin shrooms doesn't do shit"

I know people who smoke mushrooms WITH weed (you supposedly need to smoke it w/ weed) all the time. THey say it adds a trippy edge to a pot high. Placebo effect? I dunno, I tried it and I got high.

smoking your shrooms will never give you as strong of an effect as eating them does - this means you are wasting mushrooms by smoking them, in my opinion.

I have never tried smoking em...and don't plan on doing so...I'm sure it gives some effect but I bet it tastes really nasty and wastes shrooms

I don't think you need to combine it with anything if it's smoked. I believe the DMT would be absorbed through the lungs, which bypasses the MAOs.

The one problem with smoking shrooms with an MAOI is that some people might interpret the effects of the MAOI as the shrooms. Of course, if someone with experience with MAOIs & shrooms did it, they'd probably be able to differentiate between them. I'm sure someone here would be willing to volunteer to such a task.  :crazy:

Smoking shrooms would be like smoking M. Hostilis root bark to get high on DMT.
An extraction would be needed first to obtain pure crystal, even then heat may destroy the compond before it has any effects.

Any effect gained from smokeing shrooms will be caused by placebo or CO2 poisoning.

Read Ott's Pharmacotheon and thuink what you want. this comes up and every month or so. Smoke em is wasting them and it does nothing..

I think you've misunderstoof the terminology "orally active", it doesn't mean "active going through your mouth", it means that it can be absorbed by ingesting it through the gastro-intenstinal tract. i.e. : swallowing.

DMT can be inhaled as vapour or smoke and will provide an intense high without any MAOIs.

I have smoked a bowl of cubensies and got high. Nothing like weed, nothing like shrooms, it was like coming up on ecstasy, or coming down on something..it was weird.

But whoever says you cant get high off smokign shrooms, I said the same thing until I actually grinded em up, put em in a bowl and smoked them. It does get you high. Screw scientific facts evidence whatever, I smoked them, and I got high.

yes you can get effects from smoking shrooms, but it's nasty, you need a bong, you need to smoke a lot, and it won't provide a trip close to salvia, DMT, or weed. So, smoking them is not wasting them if your plan is to not trip, and it does something.

So, smoking them is not much to write home about, but you can get effects from it, and only a fuck-face would think otherwise. Especially if your name is mjshroomer and you live in denial of the fact that you can get effects from smoked shrooms. If this is you, then you definetly are a fuck-face.

I can't believe some of you people completely dismiss the idea that smoking shrooms could get you high. I tried it once and I was fucked up, a strange high, but nothing to strong, it works though, especially with some weed.

As an experiment, why don't you take a few bong hits of dried tea leaves, banana skins or any other non active substance and hold it in for a while ? I'll guarantee you'll get the same "high"
