I have a friend who wanted to try smoking shrooms. Has anyone here ever tried it? How does it work? Is it even worth it?

Yeah...tried it...hated it. Tastes nasty, no noticeable effects, just a tremendous waste of shrooms. Some people I know with large amounts to waste say they have smoked shrooms with some effect, but I say JUST EAT THEM!

dont wast your time unles you like nasty shit . I have tride it and you can get some small effects but its not worth the taste .

Smoke bananna peels instead. You'll get the same effects as if you were smoking mushrooms (nothing) and you could always eat the bananna aftarwards.

total bullshit. In theory that happens, but in practice you can smoke mushrooms and get effects, but from what I hear it's not worth it. I did read a guy's report where he smoked mushrooms while already on mushrooms and it had some pretty hefty effects though. Might be worth experimenting like that.. smoking it while on LSD or something.

Its not worth it to smoke. I believe it is possible to get some effects but only like 5% of what you would get if you ate it and probably for like a 10th of the time. You probably wont even get visuals.

Man... talk about the biggest waste of 15 g of shrooms. And btw, how long did it take to smoke 15 grams of shrooms in a blunt? 4 hours? I sure hope you meant 1.5 grams and not 15.

Yesterday watching the history channel I think I figured out the source of the rumor about smoking banana peels.

Commerical bananas are usually green when picked, and sprayed with a chemical for a day. It turns em yellow. This chemical is Ethylene. The same chemical or relation of the chemical used by the Oracle of Delphi supposedly, and which today people "huff".

So maybe there is some truth to being able to extract Ethlyene from the peels if you use enough bananas, or likely this all started by someones idea.

Ethylene is used on many commercial fruits.

i have smoked shake from shrooms with pot and it gave a noticeable difference than the regular weed high. i know it is different for everyone and a few of us had a bit of a body high, kinda like you're slightly glowing. it was a long time ago so i don't remember a lot. if i did it again i'd do it with pot. not soley just the shrooms.

a friend of mine told me it was so bad to smoke them just cuz that's what a friend told her. and we haven't smoked them since because i didn't know enough about them. i haven't found anything on the net at all that remotely says that it is bad for you in anyway. i've just heard a lot of 'it works' or 'doesn't work at all'. any comments?

I tried smokein shrooms once, It didnt do shit, but i did notice that the smoke had a blue tine to it. Ne one else notice that?

Smoking shrooms is definately nasty, and while I did get a bit of a buzz, I was already tripping hard, and I'm 99% sure it was a placebo. Eat them, make tea out of them, do whatever you gotta do, but dont smoke them..
