I heard a rumor from my friend, he said that smoking shrooms enough will make you go blind or are bad for the eyes? Is it true, or just another rumor?

Thats what you call a lie. Smoking mushrooms can be very dangerous to your lungs though, you could get BAD lung infections.

Well, yes, your friend should read up on his missinformation... I've smoked mushrooms before. Mixing some buds and shrooms gives some people a real nice buzz. Others claim that it does nothing. But, if you have over 1.5 grams or so, I would just eat the fungis instead of toking it. peace

Hi, yes its true. You anot get high from smoking shrooms.
All of you placebo freaks seem to mix pot with powdered shrooms and then say you got high.

Its the fucking pot. Wake up and quit wasting shrooms byu trying to smoke them and add to the stupidest of the urban legends.

If you need to smoke dope than go out and crack yourself. You'll sure as hell get high on that shit.

Stick to smoking pot and when you have too, eat the shrooms.

i tried smoking shrooms once cause a friend of mine did it and said he got so fucked up he just sat there and fried so i figured what the hell i will just try it. About twenty minutes after we smoke them a was stonned from the weed we put the mushrooms sith and my friend was sitting there saying how he was trippin he was so high. I just told him he was dumb and the only reason he is like that is becasue he thinks the mushrooms will get him high so he acts higher then he really is. I will never waste and but of shrooms in my pipe!

I have done some experiments with smoking mushrooms. For each of the experiments I did not eat or drink anything (except water) for eight hours prior for the best results. I did each experiment on a separate day each 5 day's apart. here are the condensed versions:

1) Smoking mushrooms with no other drug influence.
- Smoked .25 grams in a single chamber water bong.
* 15 min no noticeable effects
- Smoked .5 grams in two hits in same bong 15 min after first attempt
* 5 min feeling slightly tweaked like I had a couple strong cups of coffee

I smoked in total .75 grams of mushrooms. I felt a slight buzz but I could have passed it off for a slight caffeine buzz or eating some really shitty meth that only lasted about 20 minutes.

2) Smoked mushrooms with cannabis ( powdered shrooms mixed into the bowl )
- Smoked .5 grams of powdered mushrooms with .3 grams of cannabis ( hindu kush )
* felt a stronger than normal pot high with slight psychedelic buzz.

I stayed with .5 grams and the .3 g's of weed because the buzz was slightly stronger than weed alone and it was allot more enjoyable than just a regular night of just smoking weed.

I have also smoked mushrooms then weed and that had prolonged the M.J. buzz by about 15 min before hitting the burnout. I also smoked mushrooms before weed but that did not have any effect on the weed at all that I noticed. Those other two experiments were just barely notable based on the info from the first two. So I did notice an effect from smoking mushrooms but that does not mean that everybody else will. Give it a shot but be very careful about the mushrooms that you smoke because you could be damaging your lungs. I felt very confident about smoking mine because I know EXACTLY how mine were grown.

I once gave this kid some construction paper and told him it was LSD. After about 20 minutes he started saying he was seeing tracers. Later he admitted to "tripping balls" the entire time. After I stopped laughing at him, I told him what it really was and he responded "I know, I didn't even trip" then blushed and left. Placebo affects are funny!

I realize that Placebo effects do occur but I just want clarify to everybody out there that what my experiments had concluded was that smoked mushrooms DID have noticable effects on me and me alone.

Everyones body is different, and I don't doubt that you did feel something. I've spoken to many people that swear it works, but do to the unpleasant smoking experience don't do it often. I'm sure some people can get something, many may be placebo, others may not be. I may not get anything because I have the preconceived notion that it does not work (reverse placebo), I dunno.

I was just commenting on how strong a placebo affect can be...

Smoking mushrooms came from that lying asshole Carlos Castenadas "teachings of don juan" book. It was back in the days when no-one knew anything much about mushrooms and he assumed you could smoke them like pot. Someone told him you couldn't smoke them and in his later books he changes it to saying he ate them.

I guess snorting would work if they were very dry and ground into a fine powder. It might clog your nose up though. Maybe I'll inject extracted psilocybin. No, I think I'll try plugging some mushroom tea.
Eating is the easiset way. Pick 'em, chem 'em, and wash 'em down. It's also the most natural way to consume them. It is less harsh than other methods because of the body's filtering mechanisms and the slower absorption rate.

Ok, I'll admit it. Once upon a time when I had a lot of shrooms I tried smoking some. It REALLY tasted like shit and I did notice what felt like a very weak mushroom high. It ruined my pipe too.

The first test that I did was with nothing for eight hours ( and approx 12 hours from the last time I smoked ) I know that is not too long and thc stay's in your fat cells for approx 5 day's but I had no noticeable effects (from thc) and I contribute the results that I had from the mush.
