RePCing slightly contaminated Bags?

Theres at least three bags of WBS that havent shown any growth after a week or two. MY gut told me they were two dry and needed moisture so i waited a week or two. now ive noticed two of em each have a slight bacteria growth. Cant i just add water (take out most of contam) and rePC and inoculate once more?

i wouldn't, just get them out the house. By keeping it around you could risk further contaminating your future endeavors.

Rather than waste I would hydrate and re pc.

pretty sure no matter what theres bacterial spores present in the air around you constantly. plus theyre in "mycobags" so the sporres couldnt escape and contam a nearby contam free project. I geuss im asking if PCin again will kill all bacteria/spores present.

yeah its been almost a day and i cant find any better feedback on this, so im gonna go for it. i believe in theory this should work. ever since i read somewhere that specifically with alfalfa, you can cook the straw/substrate too much and at a specific high temp "super contams"/endospores will have prolific growth... thats why i ask pretty much, didnt want to stimulate bacterial growth thats already present.

Certainly not. Unless you are sneezing onto your bags, airborne bacteria are not the problem.

But toss the bags.

And toss the LC.

Agar->grain->grain2bag is how you want to do it.

What kind of bullshit have you been reading?  If you properly sterilize grains, they are sterilized.  The questions was about WBS, not alfalfa, which is a bulk substrate ingredient, but a piss-poor one at that other than as a supplement.

FYI, re-sterilizing might kill the contaminant, but it will not destroy any toxins already created by the contaminant. If you get such a bag to fruit, I'd still only use it for spores or FB clones.
