I heard they can mess up ur liver if u use a lot over a long period of time.

nope, no long term effects of mushies. just some anti-drug rumor. or at least to the best of my knowledge.

no, just a mix-up. Those are the amanita muscaria species that are harmful.

Psilocin/psilocybin has no known negative physical side effects on the human body. It is actually said that asprin is several times more toxic to your system then that of psilocin/psilocybin.

good to know this. I just started using psilocybin mushrooms and have wondered what it could do to the liver, especially when on other certain drugs as well, which include alcohol. I know not to mix anything while on shrooms.

The changes in brain waves can be brought about even by using Ayurveda. There are some herbs from which drugs can be concocted which when consumed can give you the experience of great stillness and calm, they can make you feel as if you are flying and can make you see psychedelic lights and so on and so forth. Although these drugs have no side effects still Yogis do not recommend the usage of such Ayurvedic herbs...
