Anybody up to date with the Amsterdam situation want to blabber to a brother?

So yes, I know I could look up amsterdam pot laws and learn everything I need to know but a) i am lazy and b) I know there is someone who will read this who really wants to share their knowledge and get mad props for doing so. So here is my situation and question: Going to be in Amsterdam in a week or so for a good amount of time. and have heard that tourists no longer will be able to go into coffee shops. Is this in effect yet? When will it happen? Also, I believe mushys are no illegal there too, right? (what the fuck happened to this country??) Would someone on the ground there have any good anecdotes about the ease and availability of said substance anymore? I mean is it like totally illegal now, or is it more like under the counter if you ask for it kind of thing. Cause those who know, know that tripping in A-dam is the shit. Many thanks knowledgeable Amsterdamite.  Hope this post isn't breaking any stupid people rules.

Im sure that's what they claim, but please if that was the problem they'd outlaw beer. alcoholics are way worse. And we all know they're going to miss the cash. They will suffer as a country. And Europe is already hurting. Meanwhile people who like the weed are going to bring their dollars to places like the czech republic, switzerland, and portugal instead. Shame on you Dutch!

thats what they claim....?

some girl who was there on vacation took shrooms and jumped off a bridge and killed herself.

thats what got the whole idea to ban shrooms over there started.

They will implent the weed pass in all cities from 2013; some city councils can decide if they already want to implent it this year but Amsterdam is not one of them.

I'm not sure if a date has already been set for that. There are some issues getting formulating some consistent laws, and there are of course some people opposed to it altogether. For time being, you can still buy pot as a tourist in Amsterdam as well as in the rest of the country.

Like others pointed out, ps. cubensis is indeed illegal, but philosopher's stones (sclerotia of ps. tampanensis) are not and they are being widely sold. You'll have no problem finding any. Interestingly, btw (but a bit off-topic), one grower allegedly supplies 80% of the philosopher's stones that are sold in The Netherlands.

Yeah it definetly won't be... I visited some neighbouring cities aswell and some coffeeshop holders just blatantly told me even if the weed pass goes in check some under the counter asking will be at hand :lol:

Personally if I was a coffeeshopholder I wouldn't take the risk if it does goes in effect. The Netherlands people are in favour of the gedoogbeleid though so I guess it'll be wait and see;

for now you can still smoke all you want:awehigh:

I've been to Amsterdam twice. It's a beautiful city with a lot to do. If you go, don't just go for the smoke, go for all the attractions. Really cool city.

yes! I've had the luck to get there a few times in my life.  Truly beautiful place.  I am just a strong legalization proponent though and I hate to see a good thing go
