I mean if you're a vegetarian thats completely ok I have nothing against vegetarians and I'm pretty sure it prolly is a lot healthier than eating meat.....but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with eating meat.

I was talkin to this chick yesterday and I find out she's a vegetarian and she starts goin on about how its so wrong and "primitive" to kill an innocent animal when we can sustain ourselves in other ways. And I've met a couple people like this and I always ask them the same thing.....if they kill bugs or not, and then they all try and justify and say things like bugs do more harm for the ecosystme than good so its ok or something idk.

Like I said there's nothing wrong with being vegetarian I just hate those elitist people that look down on meat eaters. Its really lame.

AGREE with you OP.

Extremist anythings are fucking obnoxious as ALL hell... but IMO the extremist "hippy related" things (not to offend anyone or stereotype or group... i just figured most people would know what i mean by this) are the most fucking annoying.

extremist punks (most in my expirience are young college kids who come from RICH as fuck families... Yea dude that shits REAL annoying, its like everyone's just doin what makes them happy if everyone just worried about themselves that would make a lot more sense. I think my least favorite of the elitist types though are the music elitist. You know the whole "you can't spell crap without rap maaaaaan" or dubstep is for all those kids that can't play instruments maaaaaan or "_________"<-------insert band here is so mainstream maaaaaan. That gets old real fast. Everyone just likes what they like. Different strokes for different folks

Because those elitist vegetarians do, which makes sense to me.

I dunno man, i'm sure you've heard all the economics of 1st world meat industries. I'm not a vegetarian but i certainly respect people that are, it just makes sense.

Being grossed out says more about the distance we are at from how our food is produced than anything else.

I can (and do) also neuter that particular argument by buying ethically raised meat from local producers, but the previous statement is way more important.


Aside:
I think super-processed food is pretty gross, a lot grosser to me than a video of someone kicking a chicken (I browse /b/, for fucks sake) and that includes a lot of vegetarian and vegan packaged foods.

I fucking love dubstep.  If you don't like it, great thats your opinion i respect it 110%.  But, if you are one of those people who complain about it and shit, I will just turn it up and keep it up.

I gave a bunch of fucking kids rides to school back in the day, and my iPod connector wasn't working.  I'm not a fan of the radio, so I refused to put that on when I had a perfectly fine dubstep cd (only had 1 song on it).  I played that shit on repeat for liek 2 weeks rofl they would complain every morning.  I turned it up until I couldn't hear them.  If you don't like the music and want to critise me for it, WHILE IM DRIVING YOU TO SCHOOL AND DOING YOU A FUCKING FAVOR, I will pull over and push your ass out.  You have feet.

If people don't like to see animals killed they should not look at them being killed. I don't have a problem with vegans, but don't expect me to go against nature and not eat meat. Vegans that get mad over people killing animals for food should watch the Lion King. It is the circle of life. There are not enough wild predators to kill off enough animals to balance things out. People bitch about deer running in front of their cars wait till they have cows blocking the road.

Also most livestock animals can be raised with wooded land as long as they have some room for pasture. Now crops on the other hand require a lot more land to be cleared and fertilizers pumped into the ground or sprayed in the air. For instance has anyone seen a soybean field? They are huge and a big crop these days because of the increase in soy products. Potatoes need to be sprayed with a poison to kill the tops off before harvest. I would rather deal with cow farts then poison sprayed in the air.

For what it's worth, I've been ovo-lacto vegetarian for 17 years, and I'm not a fan of elitist vegetarians either.  I know my canine teeth are for tearing into raw meat (people included?), but I chose not to go there a long time ago for myriad reasons.  But they haven't come up with a good substitute for cheese...

IME:
Raw foodists look down on and judge vegans.
Vegans look down on and judge ovo-lacto vegetarians.
We (generally) look down on and judge pescetarians.
Pescetarians look down on and judge everyone else, but to a lesser degree, I think.

Judging others is not a good way to make friends and influence people.
