busted either. use the very same laws against them, if you get a ticket in
one of the states that disallows recording without consent of all parties
involved, file a lawsuit for millions and jam up the court system

I live in a state that requires all party consent for video and audio recordings, I just cant believe the court would even take it seriously if I tried to hold that against an officers dash-cam video. Would this really work?

it's not whether or not it works, it's about bogging down the legal system
while seeking fairness and yes it's possible to win a lawsuit of this nature
but you need to learn about the laws for that jurisdiction.. most states
require a court order for a 'wire tap'. this means a cop would need the court
order for a traffic citation and each court order would be for each
individual that's stopped. failing that, they violate the law. some states
may have it written into their laws to allow the one sided recording from a
police car. again, you have to learn the law

They made it illegal to video cops in Illinois because they were tired of paying out settlements after cops were caught beating people down on video.

There was a particularly bad one in Chicago a few years ago when an off duty cop beat down a skinny bar maid for refusing to serve him after he got drunk and obnoxious. Then after, some other cops were caught on tape threatening to set her up on a drug rap if she pressed charges.

That case may have been the motive for the current law.
