I wouldn't worry, When I use PF, they are fast. EQ's are a bit slower, give it until 10-12 days. If nothing then, you may have gotten a bum syringe or the jars were a little warm when you innoculated them. Were you able to autoclave them is the same batch? I use an AA #921 and it will hold almost 30 1/2pts!! I have been using 1/2 gal jars and bird seed/verm with great results. It seems more efficient than the 1/2 pts were.

My EQ was quick to generate, although the fruits were rather small.Therefore the yield sucked. I did have one 7" specimen that I am trying to clone (HEPA/agar) but I am just getting to know how to use this shit(agar). Took some stem tissue, bathed it in peroxide, and placed it on the agar.

If my jar haven't shown growth in 12 days, I usually consider throwing them away.

I've had Eqs from Ryche take upto 14 days to show signs of life. I've also had them show signs withing 3 days. Funny part is they were all innoculated from same syringe.

Give them time and your will know for sure.

i innoculated 12 1/2 pints with EQ from PF. i first cultured in a liquid medium for about 6 days. they were slow to start in the liquid, but 1 day after innoculation in the cakes i have most jars with 2-4 mycelium spots (where i innoculated) and two jars have mycelium starting on the bottom first. could be a sign of too much water tho.

Whats the deal? A few months ago everyone is saying how potent EQ's are and then everyone turned their backs on them and decided they were actually a WEAK cubensis strain. WTF?

Eq's rock imo. Perhaps they've gone downhill, I've had a culture for over a year from hawk originally.

Sha, forget hepa, use peroxide agar. See placebos post on the subject (read: use the search button at the top of the page and search for peroxide agar H2O2 and put placebo in the name box). It works wonders and is perfect for cloning.

BTW anybody else notice that it's always the newest strains that are the strongest/best in the pop opinion? I think it's a trend and thats why few people rave about the eq's, they've moved on to newer strains. It's still at the top of my list though.
