2 Mycobags both halted colonization??
    #7271900 -

I have two 1 lb grain-based mycobags with 2 and 2.5 cc's of B+ strain injected. They have been incubating for 5 weeks, and have completlely halted progress after the 3rd week. I know the carefully set-up environment I have for them is correct because I have two 2 lb grain bags from another supplier right next to them injected with the same syringe that are BOOMIN w/ mycelium after 1 week.

My two problematic bags had 3 weeks of slow progress then stopped in a state of mostly-evenly colonized, with greyish white fuzzy mycelium, not fluffy like the good bags. They seemed dry so I opened the bags and liberally misted the bags and the substrate w/ peroxide water, a week later they are almost exactly the same, with one bag having a real small patch of real fluffy healthy mycelium on top of the old looking mycelium. I would post a pic but the bag is difficult to see throught let alone get a clean pic. Both substrate cakes in the bags are stiff like theyre colonized inside, and don't seem contamed, just weakly colonized. Both bags also seem nice and humid on the inside, and the cakes seem moist.

I've looked into things such as cold shocking and dunking, and im still not sure what I should do to spring these bags back into life. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as im at a dead end. Thanks, Sam

The main thing Im confused about here is the greyishnish of the mycelium. Im very conifident its not contamination, it just looks like unhealthy mycelium. Is that a normal for a certain condition to cause this?

The only time I tried fruiting in bags it was miserable, had to cut the top off to fan and mist manually and even after doing that only 4 out of twenty fruited and that was after they were fully colonized for over a month

Im in the same boat but on a smaller scale. I noticed today that the bags don't inflate themselve back up after I pressed most of the air out of the bags last night....Should I try dunking one?

I'd toss them. They should have been fully colonized in around two weeks. If not, something is wrong.
