mycobag rye colonization??
    #1641156 - 06/17/03 11:42 PM (21 years, 11 days ago)

a foaf has a mycobag innoculated with maza. strain and its done alot in the past week, as far as growing white puffy mycelium, and being in a myco bag, and a tendency to wanna mix up the grain in hopes to speed up..

last week , it has a nice consistancey of white coated rye grain,
this week, but no signs of any increase.. is it slowing up?.
is it done??.. or should it just be left alone.. and left to colonize more?

Well you only want to shake it up at the start of innoculation, at 30% and at 75%. Shaking it too much will do more harm then good. Leave it alone, make sure you got right temps and give it a little bit of free air exchange. Sounds like you are doing just fine. Good luck
