Halted Colonization? (Mycobag)

My friend and I purchased a mycobag about a month and a half ago. The colonizing seemed to be taking longer than expected, but there is some condensation buildup and some white mycelium bits scattered throughout the bag. I assumed the temperature, a high 60 degree environment, was the perpetrator and I then looked to this forum for assistance.

After noticing the length of time this was taking, I decided to build an incubator (the one with the fishtank heater and the cooler). The water temperature is a steady 82 degrees, but I am not seeing any change or spreading. I broke up the grain inside the bag to help, but nothing yet.

It's been in there for 4-5 days or so.

Two options I have considered:
1) Injecting distilled water
2) Injecting more spore solution

I can't really think of anything else. Suggestions?

not that I'm an expert but do you have a thermometer in the container cause even tho the water is 82 (which I hear 86 is the best) the inside might be cooler which slows down growth.

You could inject water but boil it first (draw it into the syringe as it boils). I've seen good results with injesting water into stalled bags... but you risk contamination. You also risk overwatering 10-20cc should be fine. Let the syringe cool before you inject.

Your temperature should be fine now... better to be too cool than too hot. A degree or two hardly matters.

Mycelia itself adds heat to the bag.

the low temp probably had a thing or two to do with the slow colonization, crumble up the developed mycelium and mix it in with the substrate in the bags (be careful not to puncture or tear the bag), if there is sweat and condensation in the bag on the edges of the bag i would just leave it be, be patient, good luck
