A question about Creatine Monohydrate?
    #15384875 -

I'm on Creatine Monohydrate and this Creatine phase has just reached a full month today.  I know you're not normally supposed to take Creatine for over a month but I'm in the peak of my bulking phase right now and I've had a lot of momentum lately and don't really want to come off Creatine because I think that will kill my momentum.  Would it hurt to stay on Creatine for another week or two?  It's Creatine Monohydrate powder, pure.

i believe ive read that if youre still reaping benefits then theres really no need to stop taking it, just take it for a lil longer and see how it goes

Yea I wouldn't stop, especially after only a month. Generally I just use creatine year round with maybe a small break every once in a while. I don't see any need to cycle it though.

its also said that it make take a full month to feel the full effects of creatine so why would you stop taking it after a month?

I've used creatine for more than a month with only positive effects. I continued for the same reason as you. Stopping sucks! The intensity of the pump (muscle engorgement) goes down when you stop.

No way that's true, I've been on for just over a month and have already seen amazing results.

I do believe there's some notion that if you take it for too long, your body becomes dependent on an external source to provide its creatine or something like that.  Also it's increasing my insomnia (it's supposed to do that) so I would like to come off it and see if I can sleep better.

It would only increase your insomnia because creatine is a form of energy. I guess in that way it could be negative..

your body must have creatine, i doubt it would stop producing it just because you get an outside source. Obviously i say " i doubt" because i do not know, maybe you know something i do not.
