How to take Creatine Monohydrate powder?

Is it ok to take Creatine Monohydrate with a meal? I've heard that taking it with food blocks its absorbtion.

Haha I am drinking a creatine shake as I read this. Aren't you meant to take it after your work out?

I use cell tech hardcore which I'd say is the best one. The directions say to take it after your work out but if you don't exercise that day then take it in the morning when you wake up.

I'd recommend cell tech hardcore but if you take it then get the lemon lime flavour.

hmm ive never read that (though i just started taking and reading about creatine a couple days ago). all ive read is that you should be intaking lots of carbs and water, which from that, id assume that eating with the creatine would not block its asborption, but dont quote me on that. :shrug:

Yeah, my creatine has a lot of dextrose mixed with it for a better effect.

Another question - Has anyone heard about any negative effects to combining creatine with alcohol? I'm wondering if that would be very hard on your liver...

celltech is a waste of money, infact all muscletech products are a huge fucking waste. you're paying for a fancy looking label

op - if you want to supplement with creatine, get straight up creatine monohydrate. that is all you need as far as creatine goes. it costs 20$ for 200 5g servings.

i doubt it would be "very hard" on your liver, it would be "harder" than just alcohol but the extent of the damage is something you probably won't find a study on

I've never taken my creatine with any particular strict guidelines.

I take ~5g which is a rounded teaspoon of the pure powder. I take it probably five times a week generally at some point in the day before I work out.

The results I get are just dandy.

Lol @ the pic and yeah I've already taken Creatine many times (I have Creatine Monohydrate powder) but I had never combined it with alcohol before
