first thing that comes to mind is a contaminated syringe. Try a different source. Also are you using a pressure cooker? Much better than just boiling. If you just boil atleast bake the substrate before hand.

what is the patern of the "contam" in the jars. If it follows the line that your syringe would follow down the side of the jar then it is a contaminated syringe and you need to find a good suplier. I have gone with Ryche and never had any problems.

That purple form of contamination is a reverse form of trichoderma. Strangly enough, the few times I've seen it is after the jars are almost fully colonized.
