what do we mean by multi-spore inoculation

there are several reasons why i ask this question. first, aren't all inoculations from spore, technically multi-spore inoculations? but that isn't really what i want to know. there seem to be some cultivation problems with multispore inoculations. if i'm using a strain from let's say fanaticus, and i start a honeywater soln to inoc grain, would that be considered multi-spore or what? or is multi-spore inocs, ones that are taken from harvested caps and not from a company which has stabilized the strain.

No, not all inoculations are done with spores. Actually in edible mushroom growing business it's more common to inoculate with sterile mycellium cultures, which are obtained by cloning wild mushrooms or mushrooms grown via multi-spore inoculations.
