in my last casing i just harvested i waited a little too long to pick my fruits and consequently they all begain to produce spores, HEAVILY! most all of the caps and stems look black. how will this affect my shrooms?

same thing happened to me yesterday; opend my wild cubensis casing and they crapped all over my casing! i just harvested; misted casing healily and scratched the top 1/8 inch or so to distribute them and not have a flat 'covering' of spores sitting there. i heard that pins will not form where spores have dropped heavily; im not for sure about that but i just roughed up the survface a lil to be safe

well i have verm and sphagnum moss sterilizing as i speak. i had planned on removing the top casing layer completely (or as completely as possible) and recasing with fresh materials. i know that potency is at its peak right befoe and right after the veil breaks. i'm kinda wondering if eating the shrooms wih all the spores on them is bad or something. i mean there were TONS of spores. like i said all my caps looked purple, and now that they are dried the look BLACK!

i always let my spores drop till it turns the stem black-i have picked them while the veil is breaking,before,after, and even pre mature mushies-
the only difference i can tell in potency is when they are pre mature-

Maybe, if you poop in the woods after eating spore laden mushrooms, a whole new colony of shrooms will pop up!

The shrooms will be much weaker (net gossip and personal observation), but otherwise should be fine.

Thats bullshite about the shrooms being much weaker. First off there is no proof that shrooms quit producing the active ingredient after the spores fall.
Also in xazias case she barely missed harvesting the shrooms when she noticed the spores fell, meaning even if that were true they only grew a bit before this provenless theory would have had a chance to had taken effect.
That has happened to me a few times also xazia, usually when I'm at work or something. It doesnt seem to have any negative effects whatsoever.

as far as eating them with spores all over them; dont worry about that. you eat caps that you havent printed right? either theyre stuck up in the gills or dropped on your stem; youre gonna injest them i know you will  .

Show me where I made this claim?
All I said was that from net gossip and personal observation the shrooms I have tried seem much weaker after they drop spores than before.
Don't get so upset... my opinions aren't worth the stress.
