PC'ing whole brown rice grains as substrate

I've been having a lot of trouble with different substrates and remembered the first time i had success was with whole brown rice kernals PC'd with a certain amount of water. If someone has experimented with this and could tell me the rice water ratio to use it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

try using whole millet, rye, or wheat grain. i'm not so sure how well rice would work...

Whole rice grains were the original tek that PF based his work on, it then evolved to the formula that it is today, rice flour and vermiculite....
