Brown Rice and water

Has anyone here ever used just brown rice grains and water as a substrate, like rye grain, but brown rice instead? If so how did it work and what was the water ratio?

I use brown rice and chop it up a little in the blender and apply it to the pf jar formula with no problem. I dont like it powdery, chunky seams to work better for me.

sounds like the 9er tek to me...i'm using it now just cooked the rice then stuck it in jars and a layer of verm. over top of that, had alright results boiled (need pc) and 1/4 is growing well...other 3 aren't doing jack

9er tek indeed, it works great, i use a little verm once in a while too, just to make sure i dont get the goop.
