Help with photoshop and pixels and blah blah blah

So lets say I have a wood panel that is 5' x 5' (That is in feet btw)

Im looking to print out an image that is just simple "impact" font that would
look similar to this.....


      WOLVES
      WOLVES
      WOLVES
      WOLVES



That would fit the entire panel. How do I know I have the pixels constrained
to the right proportion so that the font is not distorted when printed out on
a scale this large?

Why not just make the canvas size 60inches x 60innches and then select the font and try the sizes that work.

Or better yet, do it in a vector graphics type program such as Adobe Illustrator, Freehand or Inkscape(which is free). Then you would not have to worry about pixels. I think.

Might not answer your question, but that's all I got.

I mean I can make the canvas size whatever yes but I can only get the font size up
to 72. When I try to resize it to 60x60 inches the lines of the font look blurred :confused:

No, you can have any font size you like, just type in a different value.

Adobe PhotoShop, when setting up your canvas, allows you to choose your own ratio in pixels, inches, picas, and a few more. If it has feet then select it and put 5. Or select inches and multiply 5 by 12 for how many inches it would be

^ That is true! You can type in "10 in" and it will automatically convert that to 720 pt (at 72 dpi)

Also, Impact font doesnt always look the same after you are done making it look
a lot different.
