Thanks mate.

And I definately agree, I dont know about all headphones out there but some Dr.Dre Beats can be obtained for $300..and those are supposed to be the bees knees

Oh god how are people so fucking brainwashed?  Beats are complete shit - there are $100 headphones that sound MUCH better than them.  Please don't waste your money on Beats .

I wouldn't say I am brainwashed...

I even said I have no idea about the best, just that beats are supposed to be good?

:chilldog:

Well it just amazes me how many people think Beats are great when really they're overpriced pieces of shit.

LOL @ dr dre headphones

Actually LOL at all marketing gimmick headphones. Headphones don't have good bass response, and any headphones with exaggerated bass response probably don't sound that great, but what do I know

I'd buy AKG or Shure studio monitor headphones if I wanted a good pair

Dr Dre's are overpriced as fuck I agree.

I just got these for 50 bucks, and I have not taken them off yet. Ive listened to Dre's and they were about the same but with LESS bass..

 to BEATS

?? LOL what kind of statement is that? Better than actual monitor speakers?

Its generally accepted that the bass response on headphones is their weakest point, and that is why they are only used for reference and when absolutely necessary in the studio. If you want an accurate representation of what you have recorded then you want a good pair of studio monitors. But anyway.. I said monitor headphones, not just monitors.

I guess if you're just making fart sounds to a drum beat on your macbook  It doesn't matter

Bass quantity does not in any way, shape, or form denote better headphones.

Okay, you've got me there, that is another major problem with them. All around they are not a very accurate way to monitor sound at all.

Those are heralded on head-fi as the best entry-level/bang for your buck headphones on the market.

I meant regular listener in is living room most likely don't have bass trap in all imaginable corner, might be in spot where there's phase cancelation and listening on his "hi-fi" system, this person will find a better bass trough headphone. OF COURSE in a recording studio it's not the same
