Got some new bass headphones today..

Nice.  That whole line from Sony is bass-heavy as fuck.  I want some Denon AH-D5000, I've heard the bass on those is killer.

I was looking at the 70mm ones that were 300..but I instead got the 40s.

Good you didn't get the $300 ones - for $50 those are probably decent but there's WAY better choices for $300.

And I definately agree, I dont know about all headphones out there but some Dr.Dre Beats can be obtained for $300..and those are supposed to be the bees knees  :rockon:

Dr. Dre Beats are some of THE WORST HEADPHONES OUT THERE.

as someone who make beats bass heavy cans are bad I went for a flat response and got AKG k240, don't plan to switch anytime soon.

on the music forum I visit Beats by DRE headphone are frowned upon BECAUSE they are bass heavy so YOU might like them, check'em out

Well I got these for dubstep basically, which is basically bass music haha.

I have a pair of skull candys for non bass music and they do great :thumbup:

But my skull candys have 0 bass. :facepalm:

The Beats are bass heavy but they only offer quantity.  There are much better headphones out there that offer quality, punchy bass with just as much quantity.  Not to mention the Beats are horribly built and have a nasty track record of breaking.
The only good personal audio equipment coming from Monster are the Turbine and Miles Davis series IEMs.

you got some good one man sony mdr's are a legacy

30$ sony mdr v150 are the best headphone you can get if you plan to get out and carry them everywhere, their the most known of all mdr, I think eminem rock them in 8mile

At my local Best Buy they have 4 beats on display and each of them are broken :facepalm:

Of course that is not the headphones fault moreso the idiots that handle them.

No trust me it's the cheap plastic headphone's fault.  All of the Beats headphones are portables and SHOULD stand up to abuse.  They don't.
OP check out www.head-fi.org and you'll find as much info on headphones there as you can on psychedelic drugs here.
Even this thread it's on page 1 of the full size headphone forum.

Oh god how are people so fucking brainwashed?  Beats are complete shit - there are $100 headphones that sound MUCH better than them.  Please don't waste your money on Beats :facepalm:.
