OP is drunk.
Suggestion is a powerful drug.
There is no commercially available absinthe that contains appreciable amounts of wormwood.
If OP's absinthe did have much wormwood in it he wouldn't be having a problem with the licorice flavour, it would be with the intensely bitter flavour of wormwood.
Saying that, I have a wormwood bush in my garden, and have made absinthe with it.
it's a nice flavour, if you like bitters, but it doesn't do shit that plain grain alcohol doesn't.
really.

edit: saying that, if absinthe makes you feel special, don't listen to an old grumpy-drawers like me.

to be honest i think its effects are most similar to weed, as many have described before
for me with weed the most "psychedelic" aspect ive noticed occurs when resting w/ eyes closed
and seeing faces of people for fractions of a second before morphing into another person's face and so on...
also this appears colorless, unlike true psychs
