I think that it depents on how colonized your cakes are. Do you mean that you innoculated your caskes 12 days ago? If your cakes are less than half colonized you may be in trouble. If you birth cakes that have large areas uncolonized you will most likely run into contamination.

Thanks codfish. My jars are still incubating, and most will probably be ready to be birthed this weekend. The yellowing has receded and I seem to have the moisture problem under control now. Thanks again for the comment.------------------ Hey Wang, what's with the pictures? It's a parking lot!
