1/2 pint moisture question
    #621403 - 04/28/02 02:10 PM (22 years, 4 months ago)

My 1/2 pint brf/vermiculite jars are on day 10 since innoculation. All of the jars except one have nice 2-3 inch white mycelium patches growing. No contamination so far. I noticed on 2 of the jars, there is noticable condensation on the inside of the jar in the areas of larger mycelium growth. Is this a problem ? Should I loosed the jar lids ? I followed the 1/4 cup brf, water, and 1/2 cup vermiculite formula with the lids on tight. Any replies appreciated !

They usually have water dropplets on the glass. Should be fine. If it gets to be too much, you'll see some yellowish spots on the mycelium. That's from the water.
