Yeah, what the fuck were the city planners thinking when they didn't plan subway lines for people who were spun out of their mind on acid? The fucking nerve!

But no really, getting around NYC is easy if you know how to read a map.

lol  I got lost when I was drunk as shit there.  Bars don't close until four. 

Why don't you do an east coast trip?  Boston, New York, Philly, DC?  Bus trips are cheap  like $20 bucks one way...

I think someone suggested the Highline Park which is super fucking awesome.  It's pretty new because it didn't exist when I lived there it just abandoned elevated railroad tracks now it's this really chill park up above the streets looking over the Hudson.

Yeah this is what I mean about large amounts of misinformation.  Being a native NY'er it's easy to get around the city.  The city is well designed the subway system makes sense! (unlike Atlanta where I live now where mass transit is the biggest fucking joke)

I've never been stranded been in NY as the subway runs all 24/7 (except the goddamn G train) but I have been stranded in Boston because their shitty T rail system stops running at midnight or 1am or some such lame hour.  I came out of a show and had no way to get back to my friend's house who lived off the train line outside of town.  F that town.

I'm a native Atlantan that moved to the NYC area and I couldn't agree with you more. NYC's subway system is just logical... MARTA in Atlanta is a fucking joke, and cabs don't have standardized fares. Completely retarded.

Let's not exaggerate. The subway system isn't exactly easy to get around in NYC, but the city as a whole is a hell of a lot easier to navigate than a lot of other major US cities. NYC can still be quite confusing. I can't tell you how many times I've been told "Avenues run north to south and streets run east to west" only to find myself thinking "Well what the fuck is this random diagonal road doing and what direction does it face?" Once you get the gist of it New York City makes perfect fucking sense, but to an outsider it's extremely daunting.
