I really don't enjoy the taste of rabbit meat at all either. A good way to measure a cook is his ability to cook rabbit. That being said, I've had good rabbit and bad rabbit and I just don't like it.



I prefer pet bunnies which aren't even rodents they are lagomorphs (like a possum) to cuddle and play with.

I've trained all mine to come by their names, use a litter box like a cat, fetch sticks or toys, and also trained them to come with a distinct clicking noise. They are smarter than you think.

I think they are awesome and I don't care for their taste.
I could do without them eating my plants, but there are simple less than lethal ways around that.

Folks posting the :hillbilly: pics will be the first one's looting stores for food when the man shuts off the grid and fakes Armageddon.

Meanwhile OP and his dad will be eating some rabbit stew while the rest of the community kills themselves over the last cans of Food at Safeway.

Rednecks and :hillbilly: will be more prepared for the faked Armageddon than the average Joe.

I also went oyster hunting last month and probably got a good 20 dollars worth of live oysters at my property on low tide.

You throw those guys on the grill for 10 minutes or so until their mouths boil open so you know they were alive and now dead.  So they're fresh and delicious.

I need to get some non-idozided salt to preserve the pelt.  I can't find it anywhere.

My grocer keeps the iodized salt right next to the non-iodized.
I don't know where you might find non-idozided salt or for that matter idozided.

Good, I'm glad you are at least going to eat the rabbit. I would be sad if you were just killing them. They're creatures, they need food...and you've just got it growing in your yard! It's not like the rabbits are out to get you.
