If you watch the series as one make sure to watch the movie, its set between episode 22 and 23. Next time I watch the whole thing I plan to take notes throughout; there are so many connections to be made.

yeah, i need to actually finish evangelion.

tbh, i wasn't impressed with the bebop movie. maybe i just need to give it another go. i need to give darker than black another go too.

evangelion was one of my favorite anime series... along with cowboy bebop and... dragonball :awesome:

I watched the movie for the first time stoned and didn't get it, when I watched it again while sober all the pieces connected. The thing is that each scene has a purpose, those scenes that seem to have no purpose have the greatest purpose as they connect to other scenes and bits of information scattered throughout the film and allow you to conclude things about the reality of the situation, had those scenes been ignored or the words filtered out as useless much of the actual story would be out of reach. For instance, how did Electra contract the cure from Vincent and why do the patients initially have a higher than average lymphocyte count which quickly goes back to normal.

Did you ever see the NGE movie?

no, i sure haven't, and there's a few of them out aren't there? i didn't get too far into that series. i have the whole run though (sans movie).
