I know they are in the Stropharia Family(Strophariaceae). I may be able to find out the rest.

thanks man. i think the genus and species are psilocybe cubensis.

Class: Basidiomycetes
Order: Stropharia
Family: Strophariaceae

Sub-species are:

Paneolus:
Sphinctrinus
Subbaltestus

Psilocybe:
baeocystis
caerulescens
mexicana
pelliculosa
semilanceata
stunzii

cubensis

Absolutely. I thought you knew that already.
Anyway, now that you know their Family, Genus, and Species nomenclature you can probably pick up any biology text book and trace back their Phylum, Class, and Order. I'm not sure if Fungus has its own Kingdom now or what. It may still be considered part of the Plant Kingdom. Older text books will most likely list them under Plant Kingdom.

Actually i KNOW this one:
the kingdom is Fungi, originally fungi were placed in the plant kingdom but in the last 20 or 30 years they have made an entire kingdom devoted to fungi, which is completely different from the kingdom Protista which is made up mostly of unicellular micro-organisms such as paramecium, amoeba, and euglena.
