Nothing odd about it at all. He's trying to score shrooms and he's using non-obvious language so that people not in the know will just think it's some cullinary thing and people in the know will know what he's talking about and if he's lucky hook him up. His post is less likely to be flagged or spotted by law enforcement.

I would never think of doing such a thing. Advertising on craigslist that you cultivate mushrooms and are looking to buy them? Fuck that is a level of risk/retardation as to make you wonder wth is going on in their head.

Why do you guys act so surprised when you hear about people advertising and soliciting drugs on Craigslist? I've met multiple weed dealers on craigslist all of which turned out well and just recently a guy who's ad I responded to offered me mushrooms. I met up with soemone I met on YouTube to score some stuff. That turned out a-ok, Didn;'t get robbed. DIdn't get arrested. Get with the times.
