*music crew* Post your favorite 'experimental` music

As we all know, most "experimental" music sucks fat donkey dick and only deserves to be called as such if thought of as "an experiment to see how much pretentious dumbasses will pretend to like a bunch of shit."

Every once in a while, some stuff comes out that is truly innovative, unique, and impressive.

In this thread, you will post examples of such occasions.

My favorite experimental music is Venetian Snares. It's like weird classical music combined with some of the most hardcore breakbeats I've ever heard.

One of the most impressive drum performances... ever, in my opinion. Not very many people play drums like this....

Truly unique, innovative, and impressive experimental music?
Bitches Brew and Pangaea by Miles Davis

Bitches Brew was especially innovative, Miles pretty much created jazz-fusion around this time
Pangaea was even MORE experimental. It's out there..

So, by experimental, do you mean IDM? or just experimental in general?

I listen to some psy that I would consider pretty experimental.

Psykovsky comes to mind.

I think in general psy trance could be called that, but I just see most electronic stuff experimental. Shpongle is the big one

Miriodor (Bewitchment)

The Wrong Object
(Get their album Stories from the Shed,, it's better than this)

Plus remember that Pink Floyd's first 3 albums were really experimental.

Experimental is subjective to what you've already experienced... to me I don't find much trance or psytrance experimental because they adhere to the same basic formula they always have (quarter note bass beat on every damn song)

This shits really experimental to me

Yes, but even a lot of psytrance is "cookie cutter" music and I would not call experimentation, just copying a format others have used.
