How do I expand my "big mushroom kit" into something better?

i was given a "big mushroom kit in a little box". I'd like to know how to transfer the mycelium covered barley into something better than the vented compost bag. Is anyone familiar with these kits and what im talking about?

Hmm i don't know Wat kit ur talking about. A link would be nice. But if  u have a jar full colonized. U can spawn to a tray in stead. Or a mini tub. Or g2g. Until we know better Wat u got. Better advice can be given.

It really doesn't matter what kit you have. The main thing is that you have colonized spawn and the fact that you want to do something more with it. Your best bet would be to pasteurize some straw, horse shit, or coir and spawn that colonized barley you have to whichever you prefer. Try a mono tub or some bulk trays or something. Pasteurize your bulk sub, let it cool, crumble up your spawn and mix evenly into bulk sub, let it colonize, fruit it. Be clean and patient.

what if the barley has already been mixed with kowanite in a  grow bag and is fruiting? is there anything i can do to get more than 3 flushes out of it?
