I finally broke down and bought a board 2 years ago.  I would recommend keeping an eye on Craigslist for a good deal.  I got a Ride board with boots and bindings for $150.  According to the seller, it was purchased a year earlier, and was only used a couple of days!

I've been skiing since I could walk, but after trying out a board 13 years ago, I try to split my time between the 2.  When I go out west, I will ski 2 days and ride 2 days.  Snowboarding is more fun for me because I am still not an expert, and have plenty to learn.

I was all about Burton boards, until I split my tail in half jibbing.  Then I switched to Nitro.  Been ridding that since and like it a lot.

Doesn't matter, it's basically 1 to 1 anyway.

I don't know what kind of snowboard I have. I used to have a light blue Winterstick. Now I have some red board. I've been snowboarding for something like 12 years I think. I don't think the board matters as much as people say. Just get a cheapo board, boots that are comfortable, and semi-decent bindings. You'll be able to have fun on that.

a season pass is 290 here :hi5: , but the runs are not that big/long

I'll try to! But dont expect to learn to much from me I just started boarding last winter and only four times during that winter, I can show you the basics but im no expert :rofl:, before that I only skied but after finally trying on a board I can never go back, ski's just cant compare.
